Nursing Delegation Information
The TNA Committee on Nursing Practice has put together the document Nursing Delegation Guidelines which includes fact sheet of the basic concepts of delegation, the American Nurses Association and the National Council of State Boards of Nursing joint position paper, and the TNA guide for working with unlicensed assistive personnel.
In addition, TNA member Shelley Cohen, BS, RN, CEN, conducted a member survey of current nurse knowledge related to delegation and the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act. The responses came from more than 100 TNA members. Click the link below to view the results of the survey.
The results of this collaborative project between Cohen's MSN program and TNA further validated a need for the TNA Delegation Guidelines.
